The Trick to Stop Circling The Same Issue.

Hi! I'm Jenn

A leadership strategist and a dynamic speaker with a passion for helping others achieve career breakthroughs

This is the fourth and final week of the Clarity Series. Over the last three weeks, we have named the crossroads you are standing at, the three traps that keep clarity out of reach, and why perspective is the one thing your own head cannot give you. This week we turn to what comes next.

You know the feeling. You are trying to think through something important. You start to name what you are carrying, and before you can finish, you are already analyzing it. Judging it. Deciding what to do about it. And somehow, you end up right back where you started.

Here’s why. πŸ‘‡

Excavation is the mode where you get everything out. No editing, no judging, no organizing. Just naming what is there. Analysis is the mode where you sort, evaluate, and decide. When you try to run them at the same time, analysis censors the excavation before it can finish. What you end up with is a partial dump of what you already knew, not the full picture. This is why circling happens. Every new thought gets caught by the analysis before it can be fully seen. And because you never see the full picture, you keep going back to the same items looking for something new. The way through is to give each mode its own time. First excavate. Everything on the table. Then, and only then, analyze.

The process I have built has three steps. πŸ‘‡

Each step uses a different mode of thinking. Trying to shortcut the sequence is what keeps you circling.

Every crossroads brings a new version of the same work. Excavate what is surfacing now. Turn that data into insight. Turn the insight into a plan. The process does not change. The material does. That is why clarity is a practice, not a destination.

If you want a structured way to walk through this process for the first time, I built one. It is called Itch to Impact, and it is a ten-day guided version of what I just described. Link is below.πŸ‘‡

That is the Clarity Series. Four weeks of language for something you have been carrying without words. The work continues, and the process becomes a rhythm. Whatever crossroads you are standing at right now, I hope you now have a few more insights, ideas, and tools than you did four weeks ago.

Here’s to the ongoing practice and journey of reaching clarity. Know that regardless of the stage of the journey you find yourself in, I’m right there with you. As I said before…

🀏TINY TWEAK Challenge

Take the crossroads you named in Week 1 and give yourself ten minutes to excavate it. Everything on the table without editing. Do not analyze. Do not judge. Just get it out. That is the tweak.
